Description

Photoblogger is a responsive skin based on Zurb foundation 6. It has numerous social integration options, image slider, enhanced first album, shopping cart, search and tag cloud box. There are two different layout and features sets are avalaible: one for the higher level folders, called "Blog style layout" and one for the deeper folders. You can control the depth for which the blog layout is applied. You can skip this completely.

Please note, in LOCAL PREVIEW some browsers (Chrome, IE) WILL FAIL, because they block local "Ajax" access due to security reasons. Test either in FireFox or jAlbum's built-in browser, or launch Chrome with the "--disable-web-security" command line option. Learn more in the Forum sticky.

I downloaded Version 1.9.6 and rebuilt my site - but now the cart does not show up when someone clicks on add to cart. It worked before I updated the skin. Can you provide a link to previous versions?

Thanks Laca, I really love Photoblogger. The only thing I would like to see changed is the ability to choose between the file name and title in the information returned by paypal. After all, when someone orders a digital download of an image I need to know the name of the file. I'm going to send myphoto.jpg, not the This Is My Selfie. When you have a thousand or so images it's a pain to have to search through the website by title to remember what the image looks like and then figure out which file name it refers to. It used to be the file name in Chameleon and the first photoblogger skins. Could you please change it back to the file name or give the option in the settings to choose between them?

Hello Laza Is it in photoblogger possible to move the block with the boxes "Links", "New Photos" etc. (see http://www.digitale-fotografie.ch) cleanly centered below the content with the thumbnails above the footer of the page ? I did that a few months ago, but it was a very dirty CSS :-( code that caused me other problems. Maybe you can help me with which CSS instructions I can accomplish this cleanly. Many thanks and nice summer greetings from Basel Thomas

On smaller screens the sidebar automatically gets below the thumbnails, but otherwise no possibility in Photoblogger. Tiger, however, has a similar layout, with these boxes below the thumbs right away.

Hello Laca Indeed, because I have the problem with the sidebar-position in Photoblogger, I have already tested yoour new skin Tiger. Unfortunately, in Tiger, as far as I've seen, there seems to be no way to choose a Masonry layout, as in Photoblogger? Tiger is not a substitute for me only with fixed thumbnails and no Masonry gallery (Aspect ratio of thubnails like original images, separation of thumbnails by white thickness selectable border as in http://www.digitale-fotografie.ch/makrofotografie/fotos%20schmetterlinge/index.html). If that stays that way, I'll probably have to leave JAlbum with regret after many years and definitely have to switch to WordPress. Too bad, for me Album is still the best solution of operation and speed! I'm grateful for a quick response regarding Masonry Gallery. Have a beautiful summer week! Kind regards Thomas

Hi Laza, I continue to love your skin. Any plans for supporting PDF files? I know they aren't photos but I have some supporting documents I'd love to get on my album. Thanks!

I will check if this is possible now. Last time I couldn't find a cross-browser solution as far as I remember.

Hi Laca, 1. is possible got thumbnails cutted with zoom (as Matrix template)? 2. Inside section head I writed HTML tag title and description but now there are two title tags. How I avoid automatic title (folder name) to obtain just one title tag? 3. I wish one and same folder image for all folders. In jalbum settings, relative check box is not selected but however folder images are always the first image of the folder as preview. I tried also with check box selected with same result. Can you help me? Thank you. Sorry my poor english.

1. Use "Settings / Photoblogger / Thumbnails / Images / Fixed shape thumbnails" - this results in fixed shaped thumbnails (same aspect ration). Other than this I don't know what you mean by "cutted with zoom". 2. You mean the header? There's no template for that in Photoblogger, only for folder thumbnails. 3. There's no folder image used in Photoblogger. Do you use another skin? You can select the folder's thumbnail by drag and dropping the thumbnail onto the right "Thumbnail" box or by right-click -> Use as folder thumbnail.

Hello Laca, thank you for reply me. No, I am using Photoblogger, not another skin. 1. by "cutted with zoom" mean Thumbnail image with crop (only thumbnail, not enlarged image) but I think this is not possible; 2. in Advanced > HTML > HEAD Here I put personal title tag and description tag but in this way two titles tag are produced in html code; 3. I am using an image contained in the folder for preview, but my initial intent was to use the same icon for all the folders, no preview. The classic icon in the shape of a folder to be clear; New Questions: 4. Because I will not use social icons and search icon, is possible remove completely the top-menu? 5. In Google Analytics, what is the difference between two options Classic and Universal? Thank you, all the best.

Hi Mikele, can you please ask the same in the Forum. I have spent some 15 minutes answering you but all lost due to this crappy guestbook.

Love this skin. my whole site is based on it. my current problem is that I have gone back and edited some images and when I go back to Jalbum and update the album, my edited images do not show the changes. Even tried starting over by renaming album and it continues to show unedited images. thanks for any advice.

Hi Cathy, First off use Ctrl-F5 to force refresh the browser. I will update the skin too in order to to get rid of the old cached JSON files after every make - I thought it's already there, but I was wrong. You also might want to check if "Settings / Advanced / Process subdirectories" is ON and "Process only updated directories" is OFF. Use jAlbum's own Upload tool or pay attention to manually upload every JSON and HTML file throughout the whole album.
