On this page you can change the general program settings.

  • You can change the language, jAlbum is translated to many different languages but note that the skin settings might not be translated since the interface for the skin settings is created by the skin developers.
  • You can also change the Look and feel of the user interface. By default you will have the Look and feel of your OS.
  • You can change the Number of Threads, this setting determines how many images and slide pages that will be processed simultaneously. Read more about this here.
  • You can also change the logging level, which controls the level of details in error messages. If you get error messages and need support, it's great if you can change the logging level and send us a more details error report. ???
  • You can check for updates, when this checkbox is ticked you will get a pop up when you start jalbum telling you to update if you are not using most recent version of jAlbum.
  • You can choose to show warning dialogs, to display thumbnails in file chooser, to remember last window position and size, to save backups of album projects, to show tip of the day, to use jalbum’s integrated browser and to close progress dialog when done. ADD A SENTENCE FOR EACH OF THESE SETTINGS?

Album

On this page you will find program settings for the albums.

  • You can choose what jAlbum shall do when you are adding new files to the program, the options are ask, copy or link. Ask is the default state, but if you know that you are always linking the images or always copying then it's good to change it so that you don't have to answer that question every time you are adding new images to jalbum. You can read more about copying and linking here.
  • You can also change the location of the folder My Albums, this is the folder that contains all the album projects on your computer.
  • You can also add and remove illegal characters, just press Restore to get the default settings back.
  • You can choose to Clean old output files on make all, Synchronize output directory, Cache thumbnails, turn on and off Video support, Allow local flash preview and Keep track of files copied from memory cards. MER INFO OM VARJE INSTÄLLNING?
