Go to "upload/manage" and add a new account profile.
Press Add and then select Use an existing account on other server and press ok.
Enter the ftp type, server name, username and password. If you don't know what to enter here, ask those who run the web server for you. The ftp address is usually of the form ftp.yoursite.com or www.yoursite.com
Finally press Connect.
The first time jalbum connects to your website you will have to verify that the selected web root and the site address to your website is correct. The web root is usually called publish_html like the example in the screenshot. But it may also be called something else. If the web root or site address is not correct you will get an error message telling you to mark the web root. You can correct it by right clicking the folder that represents the root of your web site and selecting "Mark as web root". If the address shown in the pop ups is not correct you need to change it. It should be your website address, for example: http://myalbumsite.com
jAlbum may propose a folder location for the album on your server. If it doesn't just select the folder where to create the album folder and click the New album directory button.
It's very important that all albums on your website are placed inside sub folders. If you publish directly to the web root the album will overwrite existing content on the website.
When you're ready, hit Upload. To make jAlbum remember this location for future updates to this album, save the album project before quitting jAlbum.
