Sample project
One of two sample projects to get you going with jAlbum.
Sample tool

Save as default
Makes the last added setting the default setting for new projects.
Save as skin default
Save the skin's current settings as the default, instead of using the skin's defaults
Save backup of project (settings)
jAlbum>Preferences>General>Save backup of project
Saves a backup copy of project settings file.
Save copy as
JAlbum>Explore>Contextual menus>On thumbnails>Save copy as
Save a copy of the object outside of the current project
Save project on make album

Automatically save the project settings after performing a 'Make" operation.
Save Project Settings
Saves or updates the saved project settings.

Saves the project settings under a new name.

Search

Server mode

Makes jAlbum monitor changes under the image directory and trigger automatic album updates.
Server mode with upload
JAlbum>Menus>Tools>External tools>Server mode with upload
As above but also uploads the album to your website. For proper operation, the output directory must NOT be under the image directory.
Set area tags... Used to identify faces or areas within an image.
Set crop focus
JAlbum>Explore>Contextual menus>On thumbnails>Set crop focus
Adjust the portion of the image to be used for its thumbnail/theme image.
Set application for 'Open with'
jAlbum>Explore mode>Contextual menu>On thumbnails>Open with application
Set the external application to be used to open objects outside of jAlbum.
Settings
Allows the user to select a particular setting from choices available or to enter their own data in the appropriate places.
Settings File
A file that contains all of the settings used to for a particular project, the default name is jalbum-settings.jap but any name can be used if “Save Project Settings As…” is used from the File Menu.

Starts jAlbum's built-in server.
Sharpen

Amount of sharpening applied to scaled down images.

Auto-detect faces or manually identify people, or other objects in an image.
Preferences>General>Show open HTML editor button
Setting to have the HTML editor button displayed, or not, when editing a text field like Title or Comments
Show in file system

Show selected object in your OS's file system.
Show supported file types
JAlbum>Menus>Tools>External tools>Show supported file types Opens a window with a list of supported file types, for example TIFF and PDF.

Skin
A selection of files that operate together with jAlbum to generate an album. The skin controls the design of the actual album. Skins can be downloaded and installed or written by the user from scratch.

Skin directory
JAlbum>Menu>Tools>Open directories>Skin directory SHIFT + CMD/CNTRL + S
The directory that contains the currently loaded skin.
Skin information
Details about the skin such as author, version, features etc.

Skin Settings

Each skin has its own settings that affect the look and feel of the generated album as well as specific functions, such as slide shows, album navigation, external links etc.
Slide Images
Images that are, usually, scaled down versions of an original image. The size of the image is defined in Image settings.

Spelling errors are highlighted by an underscored red wavy line.
Straighten

Synchronise output directory
