Multi maker

multi-maker.png jAlbum's Multi Maker allows you easily submit multiple projects to be made and optionally uploaded in the background while you continue using jAlbum as normal. You can alternatively drag and drop a text file with a list of paths to the project files to be made. Once you've submitted the desired projects for processing, the MultiMaker window can be closed. Once a project has been processed successfully, the dates for "Last made" or "Last uploaded" turns green.

Monitor progress

Projects that are queued for processing or in processing are listed in the tasks panel of jAlbums' main window. The tasks panel can be opened by clicking the progress bar of jAlbum's progress manager component, located to the right of jAlbum's status bar in the bottom-right corner of jAlbum's window. progressManager.png jAlbum's progress manager component with the tasks panel opened

Should you wish to pause or abort a task, just use the pause and abort buttons for the respective task.

Table columns

The main table features the following set of sortable columns. Click the headers to sort the whole table by that column:

  • Name - The project's name
  • Skin - The project's skin
  • Skin - The project's style
  • Last made - The date when this project was last made
  • Last published - The date when this project was last uploaded

Context menu

Right-click any table row to bring up a context menu for that corresponding project. The menu has the following items:

  • Open project - opens that project within jAlbum's main user interface
  • View local album - View the local album in your preferred browser
  • View published album - View the final uploaded album in your preferred browser

Log panel

Details of the album making and upload process are logged here. To enlarge this panel, drag the divider

Button panel

  • Upload too - Checkbox to indicate that you wish to have selected or hot projects uploaded too after they're made
  • Force remake - Force jAlbum to reprocess all images and videos as an album is being made. You should usually not need to check this checkbox
  • Make selected - Make (and possibly also upload) projects marked as "Selected". You can continue working with jAlbum while this process runs in the background
  • Monitor hot - Activates hot monitoring. See "Hot" checkbox above. Note, you cannot run hot monitoring AND make selected albums simultaneously
  • Close / Abort. Closes the Multi Maker and lets it continue running in the background. If hot monitoring is active or the making of selected projects is active, this button serves to abort that process.

Status icon

While the MultiMaker is monitoring hot projects or while jAlbum's album sharing is active, this will be indicated by frog icon in your computer's status bar / tray bar. Click the icon to reveal a menu that tells what background tasks are currently running. Select the relevant menu item to bring up the relevant user interface (the Multi maker window or Tools->Share window)
