The albumfiles.txt file in the Architecture folder is mangled. Have you edited that manually?

ETA: And the albumfiles.txt file at the top level shows the Architecture folder, but not the 1982-Bulharsko folder. In short, this test project shows all the signs of being manually cobbled together.

Yes, I have manually copied part of big album.
The problem occurs on my old album, that is formated from Jalbum itself, I cannot upload it here.

Root albumfile contains both folders:
1982-Bulharsko 1785665620
Architecture 1785629597

I do not care about architecture folder. I have made experiments to debug / understand current problem of Jalbum link processing. Corruption is intentional.

May be that link logic has been changed and I will need to manually fix my old album to make it working with new version. It would be better if Jalbum itself can read this file without manual editing.

Direct image pointing works:
1982_I_1.jpg 1260694774

But pointing to another location used in old version fails in new version:
1982_I_2.jpg C:\JALBUM_SAMPLE\IMAGES\1982-Bulharsko\1982_I_2.jpg 1260694783
it still works in old version.

In jAlbum 15 and earlier versions, the control files, like albumfiles.txt, were stored at the top level of each folder. Starting with jAlbum 16, they were moved to a hidden .jalbum directory one level below that. This was not a casual change, made for no reason - it alleviated a host of problems. The change was made more than eight years ago. In the tech world, that's the Pleistocene Era.

When opening older projects, the conversion was done automatically, silently, in the background. Perhaps in recent versions, that conversion is no longer being performed. Maybe David can shed some light on this, and what can be done about it now.

But I do think this is at least one of the sources of your problems (there are also some formatting errors in your files, unrelated to the change). This is why I tell users of any application that they shouldn't get too many versions behind, unless they're willing to start over.

I confirm that Jalbum 16.2 works as expected. I had no motivation to buy licencse every year.

So now a functionality of version 39.7 is restored.

I hope that a missing conversion is a main cause of 39.7 malfunction. It is nasty because Jalbum 39.7. still displays some images that are stored locally.

Please note, that even you did not note that there was missing new configuration format in .ZIP file example. I personally had no clue about these changes.

There should be emited at least some message box from Jalbum that old format is used when conversion module is no longer present. Otherwise anybody could fall into a same trap as me and you.
