I made a WP Plugin to embed albums made with the Embed skin. Unzip the attached file in the wp-content/plugins folder, then "Activate". In the Block editor, use "Add -> Jalbum Gallery". Note, this won't work for other skins, only for albums made with Embed.

I'd like to incorporate Embed to put my albums directly on my wordpress.com website, but it looks like I always have to change the embedded code every time I want to put a new album/project on my website which is a lot of extra work - or am I missing something?

The embed code contains the name of the album, so it will always unique to that album.
You could use a text expander application that would let you just enter the name of the album and it would then generate the full embedding code.

Hi Laza,
I added the Embed plugin to my wordpress site, however after publishing it only shows the text. See screen shot attached.

It doesn't display the album in the editor, but works in the normal post. Haven't you tried that?

I'm not sure I get what you'd like to do, but using the new WordPress plugin you can simply add the URL in a box, and the WP post will always show the album from the given URL, whatever is there, and however you modify it.

The embed plugin and the skin work very nice for me!
Did I miss how to go full screen and start a slideshow?

No, it's version 1.0. No full screen or slideshow yet.

I am experimenting with the WordPress Embed plugin and after a few tweaks, I must say I really like it! It does the job perfectly on my wordpress practice site, so I am planning to make full use of it on all my sites. THANK YOU for that. It makes things so much easier.
That said, I have three questions (please see attached image)
1. Is there a way I can eliminate the album name from the album display (circled in red)? If not can you please consider adding that option in a future version? I'll add what test I want in a header block or paragraph.
2. I would like there to be a horizontal rule above the album like the one that appears at the bottom, spaced the same distance. Is that something I can add or would it need to be a change made by you?
3. Is there a way to limit the number of rows of images that appear. If I embed an album of more than, say 8 images, I may want to limit what appears in that one spot on the blog post. I understand I can create smaller albums containing the number of images I want, but that would be a pain. Alternately, as a suggestion (I don't know if this is possible or desirable), it would be perfect if I could indicate in the WordPress block the start and stop image number I want to display. That would allow me to use the same album in multiple places on a page, where I can discuss/describe the images in manageable chunks.
And that's it. I apologize if it sounds like I'm complaining. I assure you, I'm thrilled w/ the functionality, and how easy it was to set up!
And as always, thanks for a truly superb piece of software.
Cheers,
Nathan

1. The title line contains navigation elements in a multi-level album, but in a flat album, this might be an option in the future.
2. Adding a horizontal line above the gallery is also a good idea, should have been added from the beginning, or made an option.
3. This could be implemented in the future, for instance, by displaying only one row at the beginning and adding a "View all" button to show the rest.

Thank you for all of that. I can see others wanting to embed multi-level albums, but I'm fairly certain I will only ever use flat albums for this. When I want to link to a full album, I typically just create it as a stand-alone, then link to it with an img place holder. I admit it's nice that the embed album closes back to where it was opened, but the other way has worked okay so far.
I'll look forward to the top rule. That will be nice. Likewise a 'view all' or 'view rest' prompt. And just so you know what prompted that; my wordpress site is set up to only show an extract of the post on the main page. I know I could put the album below the read-more prompt, but I like to include some images as teasers instead of having to choose. Currently, I do what I described above, embedding just an image or two, then putting the read-more prompt below that. I may still do that for now, but I need to work out the spacing.
If I could pick one thing of the three do first, it would be to let me kill the album title and close up the margin above so I can put my own text or header above it.
All of which said, i do appreciate you are always busy, and I'll be grateful for whatever, whenever.
--Edit #2. Please see last two uploads. I figured out how to manually remove the Album title and fix my spacing issue. After I Make the album, I open the output directory and open the index.html page in my text editor. I then remove the entire <ja-nav slot="nav">....</ja-Nav> and save the index.html.
I then go back to jAlbum and upload the album as normal which puts the edited index file on the server (using my FTP client WS-FTP worked as well, BTW). This eliminated the title and the spacing entirely, as shown in the 2nd new image. And otherwise, everything works as I'd like, so I found a solution that is a kludge, but it works for me for now....
And again, thank you.
Nathan
