I have updated both jalbum and the story skin. Now every folder got a folder thumb wich i dont want. I cant get rid of them either. I can change to which picture i want but not remove the heart "use as folder thumb".
Use thumbs for folders is unchecked in advanced settings.
Confirmed. The expected behavior of folder icons has become erratic and somewhat unpredictable. It's almost impossible to de-select an object for use as the folder thumbnail. Selecting a different object to use as the folder thumbnail works fine, however.
How do I reproduce this? I right-click an object that has the heart and select "Use as folder thumbnail" again. Now the heart moves to another object (first found)

De-select Use thumbnail for folder icon, and then try to remove the hearts.
Try the latest service update (38.0.18). It now again respects if users don't want folder thumbnails. To get the update, select Tools->External tools->"jAlbum core update" and restart jAlbum when prompted.
This thread drifted into a related, but different problem, a skin bug. I've split the thread into two pieces. This initial problem appears to be solved.
