Problem with ${folderModDate} not showing manually set Folder date

Hello,
I’m using the Blogger skin and want ${folderModDate} to show the Folder date that I assign manually in Edit mode or in the folder properties. However, changing and saving the folder’s Date field has no effect, the album still shows either file modification dates or EXIF dates, not the date I entered.
Skin: Blogger
Setting: ${folderModDate} → Folder date
Tried: Edit mode, right-click folder → Properties → Date → "Enter" → Force Remake
Is there a known issue, or am I missing the correct way to assign and save a Folder date that Blogger skin can read?
Thank you,
Marko

As usual, no need to run a Force remake!
For me, this feature works. However, when I change the date in Edit mode, it does not immediately update the date in Details mode, which suggests that the value is not being saved. I have to click into another box for jAlbum to save the change. In the details mode, whenever I change the value, it complains about an invalid date. The Edit mode always uses M/d/y format; meanwhile, the Details mode uses the localized version, e.g., yyyy-MM-dd. I suppose this is the reason I encounter these date format errors.

Hello Laza,
thank you for the explanation. Unfortunately, it still does not work for me. Clicking into another field, etc...makes no difference. The new date I type in simply does not get stored. It also never complains about a invalid date.... FYI. The date format is consistent ie. the same evrywhere... the album continues to ignore the manually set date. Do you have any idea what else could cause this?
EDit: If I click in in Explore mode on folder I see two dates ie. one is Added and the other Modified. Album, when generated uses the Modified date whic I do notr want and want to change.
regards
Marko

Unfortunately, you cannot change the "Added date" in jAlbum.

Interesting bug! I changed the date on a folder in the Explore view, made the album, and it showed the new date. But I later came back to the same project, and the date on the folder had reverted to its original value. Apparently, jAlbum is not properly storing the user entry.
I can force the issue by changing the folder's modified date in the operating system. I use Attribute Changer, a freebie. It's "Windows only," however.

Hi, thanks for the tip. I’d prefer a solution inside jAlbum, as I just want the folder date to show the event date, not album creation date.

I agree - this should work properly within jAlbum. But at least there is a workaround.

After editing the folder date in Edit mode several times and randomly clicking in fields to “save” it, I somehow managed to get the new date to appear correctly in the Preview window.
However, in Edit mode the folder date still shows the old value. Honestly this doesn’t bother me as long as the preview date is correct, but I cannot replicate the steps elsewhere since I don’t know which random “save” sequence triggered the change.
I really want to get this solved as I want the folder date to show the event date and not the album creation date.

- EDIT: forget it... i found a solution.
