Some minor issues in last update

Hi
After updating Story to the latest version a couple of strange things occurred in the lightbox (Se the attached file)
The zoom arrow worked 'automatically' for som photos and showed big versions. When I clicked to 'normalize' the same thing happened next time.
The arrows 'next' and 'previous' went black and did not show on hoover. I had to use a grey background to see them.
After spending hours trying to adjust this by changing colors 'here and there' I gave up and went back to version 5.5.0 - after figuring out how to do that.
Then everything was fine again.

I know that 'shit happens' but it's frustrating and time consuming when updates have such issues..

Sorry that I don't have links to show you now cause I downgraded .. but you might want to check the last update.

Regards.

In my quick test, this appears to be working as designed. At first (initial.jpg), all of the icons appear. After a few seconds (after.jpg), only the play/pause icon remains. But if you then move the mouse, the other icons reappear again.

If you are seeing some other behavior, please give us a link to an album that shows the problem.

Nothing has changed regarding the lightbox buttons recently. Please note that you must refresh the browser with Ctrl+F5 after making a change.

I might explained badly. I didn't mean that the icons actually disappeared, but the arrow -instead of keeping the white color when holding the mouse over it -it turned black and was not visible.
(If I changed the background color to some dark grey I saw the black arrow).

I can't give you a link now I'm afraid as I use 5.5.0 now -and I wont update.

Ok Laza if you say so. But still it all went back to normal when I installed 5.5.0. Both the color-changing thing -and the zoom function behavior.
Don't you find that strange?

Believe me I used reload, Ctrl F5 -and 2 other browsers -the same occurred in Firefox, Edge and my Chrome.

The zoom-thing was most strange in my laptop -not so much on my big screen.
But again -when I downgraded all the issues went away.... on all screens.

Could you please explain this or provide a link to a sample album?

See the 2 files added. Sorry -but I can't explain it better than this.. I have no link now cause I can't reproduce it -cause I downgraded.

I believe I can reproduce this error.

When I view this album on a 1920x1080 monitor, and click on the 9th thumbnail (the 1906 Orient Buckboard), it always comes up zoomed.

(Demo album removed.)

But if I change the browser window size, the error goes away. This tells me that it's a computation error of some sort. I'll have to leave it to Laza, as I don't know what the script is doing internally.

I'm real glad you could reproduce it.
To me it happens to any of the photos.. different one all the time -if I run through the album over and over...

Your 'next' and 'previous' arrows stay white for you though. For they where white for sec. and turned black and by that 'disapeared'

No, they don't. They turn black and disappear after a few seconds. If I move the mouse, they turn white again. That's the expected behavior.

For me -on my site earlier -they stayed black.

I can't reproduce that problem. We will need a link to an album that shows this.

It appears that this won't be addressed. I'll remove the demo album in a few days.

For me, it always appears fit to screen (slightly zoomed on an HD monitor). This is because the settings have "Fit to screen" on, and a 1.2x Max. enlargement.

Since I don't use this skin, I guess I don't care, and the original poster seems to have disappeared.

But I just can't tame this lightbox. It stubbornly offers zooming options, whether I want them or not. I want it to fit the images to the browser - why would a user not want that to happen? I don't ever want it to show the image larger than its native size, so I've now set the maximum enlargement to 1.0. But it still keeps offering zooming options. At least with these settings, none of the images seems to be coming up pre-zoomed, which was the problem initially. Is there really no way to turn off this "helpful" feature?

I'll leave this to those who actually use the skin.
