more intrusive? Now, it's just one click, and you can move on.
I'm not sure what would be better. When you open a project that uses a missing skin, you certainly wouldn't want the core to automatically switch to the current default skin, since that would wipe out any settings from the previous skin, and you might want to reinstall the old skin and rescue the settings. But having to manually choose a new skin every time would be more annoying than what it does now.
The original poster could contact the help desk to get a copy of DPL 3, just to reinstall it temporarily. It's no longer in the repository (it was a Flash skin), but I know that Anders never truly deletes anything.
