Yes, as the subject indicates, I want to replace edited photos which already is present in the album, and then upload it to my domain - and would like to keep the comments I have added to the photos which are replaced! I don't know if it make sense, so I've added a screendump that hopefully will help.

I have installed the newest Lightroom and it's AI function is doing miracles to the photos - so it is a LOT of photos I'm talking about - so it will be a big help if I somehow can keep the comments.

The new edited files, will have the same filename/extension as those they replace.

I don't now if there is a file containing the comments, that I can copy and the upload it after I have updated my album(s) on my domain?

As long as the file names remain the same, you can just tell LR to export the newly-edited photos to the project directory. No need even to have jAlbum open. When you re-open the project, your new photos will be there, with comments intact.

Or, with the project open, drag the new files in, and tell jAlbum to replace the existing ones with the same names.

Obviously, try this with a couple of files, just to satisfy yourself that it's working the way you want it to.

In either case, make the album again.

Just check to make sure it isn't giving people sixth fingers or second heads, and that it hasn't put furry claws on your budgie.

Thank you a lot. I'm not sure what you mean by the 'LR export' thing, but I have an idea - or will ask in the Adobe community. But if I do have an idea, then it may be that I place them directly in (in this case) here:

C:\Users\Frank\Documents\Mine Albums\guldberg-lassen.dk\album\Danmark\Kirker og domkirker\2016 - Roskilde Domkirke\Frederik d. 5.s kapel

and then update the album!

And I laughed out loud when you wrote this "Just check to make sure it isn't giving people sixth fingers or second heads, and that it hasn't put furry claws on your budgie" ;-) Because that is exactly what happened here in Denmark when a well known publisher used ChatGPT to come up with pics of animals which then was used in a book for children - and those animals looked very odd LOL

But I only use the Denoise function - which is very powerful :-)

Thanks again.

No, you don't want to replace them in the finished album. You want to place them in the project (image) directory. From within jAlbum, open the project, then hit CTRL-SHIFT-I (the letter i). That will show you where to put the new images.

I don't do anything before I have heard from you experts - and I'll rather wait for days than risk to spoil my albums :-)

I'm in doubt what a project are - sorry :-( Is that the top-level with all my Albums below (see 02.jpg)? Or is every single Album I've made, a Project?

When I hit SHIFT + CRTL + I, then I get this view - attachment 01.jpg

So if I use my example from the beginning of this thread, am I then to place all the photos in:

C:\Users\Frank\Documents\Mine Albums\guldberg-lassen.dk\Danmark\Kirker og domkirker\2016 - Roskilde Domkirke\Frederik d. 5.s kapel

OR is it in this folder (the one I copy to my domain via FTP when I have made updates i my albums):

C:\Users\Frank\Documents\Mine Albums\guldberg-lassen.dk\*album*\Danmark\Kirker og domkirker\2016 - Roskilde Domkirke\Frederik d. 5.s kapel ?????

Dansk: albumprojekt.

That is where your new original images should go, the ones you have edited in LR. You will place them in the appropriate filmappe there - Danmark, Diverse, Natur, or Rejser, or the correct subfolder, like Natur > Suserup Skov.

... is it in this folder (the one I copy to my domain via FTP when I have made updates i my albums):

What you copy to your server is the finished album. You want to replace the images that jAlbum is using to make the album, not the images in the finished album.

WOW! Then I have done everything wrong since day one... and that is some years ago now! As a newbie I asked in the Community which Album to put on my site, and was told that the contents of this is the one:

C:\Users\Frank\Documents\Mine Albums\guldberg-lassen.dk\album\ --> /guldberg-lassen.dk (see attachment)

I begin to see where my English skills falls short :-(

No, that's actually correct. The contents of the album folder should be uploaded. But if you want to replace the images being used to create the album, you should replace the ones in the project folder, where you originally added images. Then when you make the album, jAlbum will use those new, changed images to make the album.
