Mark new does not work for web locations?

Hello,

I have a use case that's giving me trouble. In a gallery, I have a folder marked with a star, indicating new content. When I enter in this folder, nothing is marked as new, the New Images section displays nothing, and the 'New Images' menu entry (generated by newimages.htt) also displays nothing.

I finally narrowed down the source of the problem: the marked folder contains a recently added Web Location, but the corresponding icon is never marked as new or found by the New Images section/menu.

This is confusing, and I think it's inconsistent. IMHO, the 'New' marker should either be displayed on a recent Web Location icons and the directory containing it, or not display it on either.

Is there a way to fix this?

The skin has no means to determine whether a web location is new.

Oh, too bad!

I naively thought that since the albumfiles.txt file contains the date the link was added, as with images, the skin would have been able to use it.

You are right. The thumbnail should be marked as new, just like the containing folder. I will try to fix this for the next release. (I meant the skin cannot access camera dates, but the added date is available.)
