I have a question about updating a gallery. Whenever I change the contents of an image folder, I always have to recreate the title and description of the image folder. Is this normal? Or am I making a mistake?

Surely it's possible to retain the title and description of an image folder?

Regards, Klaus

If you are replacing an image with an updated version, using the same file name, then do it in your OS’ file system. Then load the project and the title, comment etc. will still be there.

Was mache ich da falsch?

jAlbum stores the folder's title within the .jalbum/.info file of that folder, so if you replace entire folder, then such metadata goes away as well. You can consider preserving the .jalbum folder.

Even if you do it by dragging the new version of the image into the project's Explore view and tell jAlbum to replace the existing image, the title and comment are preserved (that was many several versions ago).
