"Generated image" in the caption?

Hello everyone,

I have a problem that I haven't had with any photo in the gallery so far: In the caption in the lightbox, a bold text "Generated image" appears above the normal text (see attachment). The photo was treated and edited in the same way as all the others, but now this one has this note.

Where does it come from and can I get rid of it?

It was probably added by a 3rd party application as IPTC Object Name. In Settings / Advanced / Metadata / Title source choose No IPTC. (If you can't stop that application from writing out garbage.)

Hello Laszlo,

Thank you for the quick reply! But unfortunately the setting didn't help.

I noticed that if I save the photo without Exif data, the note disappears. But why only for this one photo?

Hello Laszlo,

I was able to solve the problem by deleting the file name in the IPTC data using XnView.

Ah, yes. Once imported, jAlbum might also cache the wrong title as XMP data. So, you have to delete the Title from the thumbnail, too. But removing it using XnView works too, as it seems.

Thanks for your tips.

I scaled the photo up with an app. I suspect that this app produced the IPTC entry. I'll test it.
