Thumbnails - last photos get cropped / smaller

Having the last several thumbnails getting 'cropped' or better said, shrunk height wise, after I do a couple edits, tweaks and previews.
Using Tiger, I add say 25 images and do some settings. I do 'Make Album' then 'Preview' and all looks ok, all 25 thumbnails are fine, same relative shape.
But seems after a couple tweaks and previews, I end up having the last several picture thumbnails all 'shrunk' height wise only.
Not mixed in the batch of 25, not constant on a row, but always after the # picture, thus starts mid-row, every thumbnail after is exactly half the height it should be. - see attached scr shot-
Not used jAlbums in recent months, did not recall having this issue in past.
Did get 2 Tiger skin updates this week.
Created about 8 new photo pages this weekend, most created fine (even with some tweaks).
Issue is found both in 'Preview' and live when uploaded to site.
So far, seems I have to cancel the project and start clean to resolve.
Found some similar posts but not exact, reading as is maybe a bug ?
UPDATE: just did the 'Make Album' again and it did not happen, so issue is random when do the new album. See 3rd screen shot, and compare to 1st screen shot.

I've seen this before, and if memory serves, it's a browser caching problem. When viewing it in a normal browser, either locally or from the web, hit CTRL-F5, if you're on Windows. On a Mac, you might have to get more aggressive about clearing the browser cache, since this is not a problem of having cached images, but of having some cached script code.

This happens when jAlbum does not generate the thumbnails after changing the thumbnail layout or the aspect ratio (on fixed-shape thumbnails) and when the browser has cached the old version. Please ensure the Settings / Advanced / Process only updated directories is turned off, and when previewing, use Ctrl-F5 to remove the old files.

Laza
Any chance you mean 'Process only updated subdirectories',
as do not see the 'directories' option.
And this is turned off / not enabled now.
thanks,

Okay, so this option is turned off. Sorry for the confusion. The "updated directories" means almost the same thing as "updated subdirectories".
So you run a Make album, then Preview with F12, refresh the browser with Ctrl-F5, and you still see the same odd behavior?

The issue continues. Using Ctrl-F5 is having no effect.
Today, started fresh default Tiger skin and the cork background. Setup various preferences and created my first Day pictures (I have 7 days to build). Out of the box, it screws up.
I proceeded to duplicate and create several more 'Days' pages and had the same results on all. Each having the latter thumbnails height reduced.
Tested with three PC browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and also manually cleared the cache, exited and started browsers again, same results.

Upload a test album, including the lifeboat file so others can replicate your settings.

Upload the test album to your web host, wherever that is.
To include the lifeboat file, check the box (it's checked by default). See screenshot.

Rob, Jeff,
First, thank you for offerss to review and help.
Second, this process sure ain't so clear, as I fumbled and linked the album in my profile.
Third, not sure this includes the LifeBoat file.
Here is the test album which shows the last handful of thumbnails in the shrunk format...
https://jalbum.net/a/2130838
Will notice, the thumbnails are 160x160 except for the last few, that are 160x80.

Exactly what we needed to see.
Looks like a skin bug, to me. There's nothing strange in the project settings, but only the preloaded thumbnails (by default, the first 20) show the correct aspect ratio. The thumbnail images themselves are fine - it's just the script to show them that's making a mess of images 21 and higher.
I get the same bad result with my own images that you do. But reducing the number of thumbnail columns from 6 to 5 seems to cure it - see Tiger > Sections > Images > Thumbnail columns.
This is one for Laza.

The result also differs depending upon the thumbnail image bounds.
Six columns works OK if you also choose 240x240 for the thumbnails.

Jeff,
THANK YOU, the 'skin glitch' as you say appears to be the issue here.
I created 10 daily albums for a trip I took a couple months ago. As I progressed in creating, I found settings I would miss and go back and do tweaks as well.
One of these was using '6 columns' and also using 160x160 pixel Thumbnails.
. . . both appear to be tied to the glitch
So I did some testing and leaving at 240x240 worked on several albums.
Then wondered, and tried 7 columns with 124x124 and found in general it worked fine the first 7 albums. I cheated and did a 'duplicate album' each time to retain the skin and settings (Tiger).
Then the glitch was back, on the 8th, again 9th and 10 albums. I rechecked and not clear now, if the thumbnail pixel had changed or what.
What I found was, if I changed it back to 160x160, 7 columns, it would successfully work though creating thumbnails in 124x124 ?
I now have ten albums recreated and initial previews, both after making the album, and also after uploading to my site, all 10 are showing the full thumbnail, using 7 columns and 124x124 pixels.
Will take a break and go look at again, second review check, later...
Thank you!
Frolin

These days, that's considered much too small for thumbnails. And six columns is too many. I'd stick to 5 columns, and make them 240x240. Visitors don't want to see a cluttered page of overly-small thumbnails - looks like something from 20 years ago, and makes a poor first impression.
