Questions about the video player settings

Hello, I don't know if the tiger skin has anything to do with this.
1. I want the timeline to be permanently displayed at the bottom of the video. I haven't found a setting for this yet.
2. I can't adjust the volume in the player. I can't make the control louder or quieter. I can only deactivate or activate the sound completely if I click directly on the speaker symbol.
Example: http://www.bahnfotos-region-bremen-galerie.de/Bearbeitung/Bearbeitung%202024/index.html#img=IMG_0009.mp4

Easy one first. What it looks like depends upon which browser you're using, but they're all very similar. Screenshot.
ETA: The slider doesn't appear in Brave and Chrome until you mouse-hover on the speaker symbol. In Firefox, it's always visible, and is to the right of the speaker, rather than the left.

The video player is being provided by the browser, not by the skin. This is how they all behave - they fade out unless you're mousing or tapping on the video. The behavior is different on mobiles, too. It's pretty much out of your control - there is no setting for it.

The bigger problem here is that unless I go fullscreen, I can't get to the video control bar at all. If I set Windows to auto-hide its taskbar, I can see just the top half of the video control bar, but can't easily interact with it. I can't figure out why this is happening - using my own sample videos, I can't produce the same effect. Laza will need to poke around in this one....

When I try to move the volume control, I move the entire video window. This is basically navigation between the videos/photos, swiping left and right. The control does not respond to my attempt.

I'm not having any problem controlling the sound level. The entire window moves only if I don't actually have my mouse pointer on the slider. I can't imagine what you're doing.

I also have my pointer on the slider, but it doesn't respond. I can't move it up or down. My slider is vertical and not horizontal.

In Brave, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, it's horizontal. I see that in Safari, it's vertical ("Because we're Apple, by god!!"). In my own skins, it works fine, but Tiger seems to be intercepting the mouse actions. I'm not thrilled with the way the mouse behaves in other browsers, either - Tiger is getting in the way of the normal functioning.
(Laza, a thought - in a browser video player, the player needs to be in charge of intercepting all clicks and swipes. If you're "listening" for those, and trying to take some other action, I think you're just going to have endless control problems like this.)

I once activated the full-screen mode of the video. Here the volume slider is also horizontal and I can change the volume without any problems. If I switch back to normal mode, it doesn't work again. I always move the entire video image, basically using a swipe gesture with the mouse.

In my own test albums with Tiger, the Safari control bar is problematic, but usable, except for the volume control. But viewing your album on a new Macbook Air, I can't get to the video controls at all, no matter what I do - fullscreen/normal, tapping, mousing, swiping - the control bar just never appears.
I'll have to leave this to Laza. I can't figure out what the skin is doing with this, or why. The video player just doesn't behave like a normal browser video player. I can only describe the behavior as "quirky and annoying."

Thanks for the tip about the Macbook Air.
In addition to the Mac Mini, I also have a Macbook Air, where I tested my album. I have the same problem as you. I can't see any controls in Safari.

Mac Mini + Firefox, everything runs without problems. All displays are there and working.

I remember once I removed the swipe handler from videos. I'm not sure why it's back.
Naturally, the skin does not do anything different on Macs. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Mac to test.

I tried to make swipe work only on paused videos, but it looks like VIDEO elements are fussy about taking over the on-click event. You can't simply pass back the control after the code decides it won't handle swipe. So, the only way to make the video player function consistently cross-device is to avoid all custom event handlers.
