Bug or Intentional

As the Subject indicates, I don't know if this is intentional or not but here's what happens.

When I search a sub folder and it returns ten images, if I click on one of them to open it and then copy the link, pasting it back into a mobile or PC browser returns all the images in the search, i.e., the search HTML not the link for the image I opened.

I use Search mainly to find an image to email or text the link but I have to do the search to find the filename THEN open the album and go to that folder to find it and grab a link that works.

As an example, I searched on "flag" in this folder .

That will return 12 images and if you click on one and copy the link, you get the search link instead.

TIA

Moving this to Tiger forum as that is the skin used, not a jAlbum issue.

This is by design as the results of the search are shown with the search term included in the results, http://www.kilobravo.com/gallery-older/archive/index.html#search=Flag

Well I for one am sorry to hear that and I honestly don't see the point but then, I'm not a jAlbum coder. :=)

Thanks for the response, Rob.

Took a look at the HTML and discovered that all that needs to be done is change "search=" to "img =" and the desired image displays.

My post came about while trying to text a friend an image from one of my albums. At the time, I didn't pay attention to the link generated by the search as I should have but now I know what to do.

When you share the URL after a search, it will bring up the same search results page.

When you click one of these thumbnails, the URL will contain both the search and the image reference. However, after loading the page with both parameters, the skin cannot do two things one after the other: search and image display.

If you need the URL to the selected image, click the folder icon on the search results thumbnail, and click the image in its original folder. Then this will work.

Laza you ARE The Man!

Of course I had never noticed the little folder icon in the search results before but that's true of many small but wonderful things I find along the way. <smile> I am continually amazed at the enormous customization jAlbum offers but I must admit, it can be daunting. However, the best part above all is, once configured, jAlbum delivers MONTHS' worth of HTML, a spectacular photo album, and does it in the blink of an eye. Truly impressive and my hat's off to all of you coders for giving me/us the PERFECT software for our precious images.

Anyway, I just tested your suggestion on the mobile and it worked just as you described so now I don't have to edit a text link to send an image to someone..THANK YOU!
