Until this is addressed, at least you can use the up/down arrow keys to move to the next line of thumbnails. Not as nice as just left/right but better than being stuck and having to click on a thumbnail on a different row.

Yes, I know of this workaround. But doing so many things in JA different from all other applications is just super frustrating. I don't know if this is because JA is based on Java and is not a "native" Windows application. But the GUI of JA is really, I mean really, super bad. So many things are not working in all other applications.

In this case I've actually modeled the behaviour according to Finder in Mac. If you want sequential navigation, use TAB and SHIFT-TAB. This said, I think it's justified to modify the behaviour of the left and right buttons to behave like Explorer in Windows. I'll add this to the todo.

What other things are on your list of annoyances Marcus?

Now fixed in v36.0.2. Just do a core update to get hold of it.

Hi David,

  • The <Left> and <Right> keys are now working correct, perfect.
  • But the <Pos1> and <End> keys are still not working.
  • The <PageUp> and <PageDown> keys are also not working like in any other application I know. If you hit <PageUp> or <PageDown> in the Windows Explorer then you are not only scrolling up or down, no, you also make the element at that place the active one. This is very important.

Thanks, Markus

I've addressed these points in v36.0.3 now. Just do a core update to get it.
