You can use jAlbum's built in uploader to download files. Use the 'Upload/Manage' function then connect to your account. If you want to download folders just right click on a folder/project and select download. If you want to download individual files use the 'Advanced' tool (spanner icon) to show files. You can download as a jAlbum project or to another location on your computer. No need for FileZilla.

Also, from the same window you can use the third icon from the left to download a directory.

And if you're talking about using FileZilla to upload albums (apparently, download and upload are the same word in French), it's certainly possible, but is unnecessary. FileZilla will be much slower than the jAlbum uploader, and FileZilla does not know how to remove files from the server that may no longer be needed in the album (if you have deleted images, for example).

Merci

FileZilla works fine, though it can't automatically clean up unneeded files, which the jAlbum uploader does automatically. But FileZilla is much, much slower than the jAlbum uploader. On an older machine, that's even more important.

Either of them can upload with SFTP, which is what I recommend. It's more reliable.

Don't forget that the protocols used for uploading albums (FTP, with jAlbum and FileZilla) and for viewing images (HTTP/HTTPS, with browsers) are completely independent. In other words, the fact that your site is in HTTP or HTTPS does not impact the way jAlbum uploads your album. Personally, my site is hosted by Free (so in HTTP, no choice), and I upload with jAlbum without problem.
