Download single images from created gallery

Hi,
Unless I've missed something, I don't see a way to make a link to download individual images. I created a gallery of holiday greeting memes for a client of mine. I'm trying to make this as simple as possible for him, as he uses his iPhone for most FB posts.
You can create a link to download all images, however, when I tried that on the published page, it doesn't seem to work. It creates a file called "Holiday memes.zip.html", but has no images in it.
Thanks!
Tom

On the iPhone, he just needs to tap the thumbnail to get to the slide image, then press and hold the slide image. One of the options that pops up is "Save to Photos."

That's mysterious. Just tried it myself, and the download button provides a zip file, as expected.

If you want to download single original images you need to set Images>General>Include>Originals. Then you will see a download icon at the top right of the image.

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the reply. I'll see if the thumbnail tap works for him.
As for the download all, I'm not getting the same result. I'm using Safari, if that helps. I'll keep trying.

Hey Rob,
Thanks for your response too. I'm not seeing the download icon (guessing it should be to the left of the close "X" icon. But I'll keep trying.
Thanks!

I use Safari on a Mac and iPad and I get the normal .zip for downloading all images. Look at this sample album, https://robm.jalbum.net/Welcome%20to%20jAlbum/index.html
The individual download button is to the left of the 'X' close lightbox icon.

Jeff,
This is the page with the download link.
https://www.friendsofglengeelhaar.org/holidays/
I'm still getting a "zip.html" file ending on the link. Using Safari and Chrome on Mac, if that helps.

When I click on the Download high resolution images button on your album, I get holidays.zip, as expected. I can't imagine why you're not - it's a very simple download link. I suspect you have some sort of "security" software on your Mac that is "protecting" you from zip files.
However, there's an error message indicating that the zip file is not available on your site, which tells me that you haven't uploaded it. Are you using the jAlbum upload routine? If you're not, you should - it's faster than using something like FileZilla, and it prevents this kind of error.

I'm seeing the same problem on my Mac, in all browsers, but not on my PC.
Give me some time to see if I can narrow it down. There's certainly nothing odd about my Mac setup, which is pretty much "exactly as it came out of the box."

OK, it all seems to come down to the fact that this file is not present on the server:
https://www.friendsofglengeelhaar.org/holidays/holidays.zip
Trying to access it directly gives me a 404 - Not found error.
I get the same screwy downloads if I remove the zip file from my test album, then try clicking the download button.
So, using the jAlbum uploader, upload the album again.

You have selected originals, the download icon only appears if both slides and originals are selected under 'Images>General>Include'.

Jeff,
Oh, goodness, I did not know I actually had to create the zip file first, I made the assumption that it was created automatically on request.
I am using the jAlbum uploader, I don't "collect" the files outside, and then upload them. So not sure if it's the right way,
Tom

No, the zip file is created automatically. You don't need to do anything manually.
It also gets uploaded automatically, but the file is manifestly not present on your server. If you connect to your server and look at the directory that contains this album, is holidays.zip listed there?
ETA: In fact, before you even get to that point, Make Album, then open the output directory - Tools, Open directories, Output directory. Is the holidays.zip file there?

Using apostrophe characters in the file name is unsafe on the web. I haven't checked but perhaps this triggers the ZIP creation error.
