I've finally recognized my limitations as a photographer, but still find jAlbum extremely valuable as an instructional tool. That is, "connect part A here to part B and attach the wire to clip C." Being able to identify A, B, and C in a photo can be quite useful.

In the Effects section, could a directional arrow option be added? Could a speech bubble be added? Just a thought.

You could try Journal skin. See the example at https://robm.jalbum.net/Journal%20Skin/Typography/index.html#function

Look at the picture below ‘Typography Settings’, then click on the icon (like a map pin).
Notice the area tags on the image and the matching links (red text) that appeared below the pin icon. Click on the ‘Base font’ link and the page will scroll down to the text area that describes what the base font setting does.

This example, https://robm.jalbum.net/Journal%20Sample%20Album/Animals/index.html#Talons11
Shows an alternate version where the links scroll to the area within the image. You can make the areas large enough for short descriptions of the point of interest.
