Scaling of text effects

Hello. I plan to switch from Turtle to Tiger Skin. Now I have noticed that in images that are heavily cropped, the text effect is displayed enlarged (see example files). The effect settings and the scaling of the photos are identical. I can reproduce the problem. With the Turtle Skin, the text effect is always displayed in the same size. It doesn't matter whether the image is heavily cropped or not. The problem arises with the Tiger Skin. Can someone help me?

The text effects - watermark, logotype, etc. - are applied by the jAlbum core. The skin plays no role in this at all. Skins do not do any image processing.

I can't reproduce this problem. With a heavily-cropped image (cropping done within jAlbum), the logotype appears identical in both slide images.

Make sure you're using the same image bounds in both projects - see Settings > Images > General > Image bounds > Images.

Hello Jeff. Your hint led me to the solution. However, it wasn't due to the image bounds. The problem was that in Tiger skin (in contrast to the selection of Turtle skin) the variants fields are also displayed. Here I had to remove the default settings using “Clear - remove all variants”. Many thanks for your support!

Ah, yes! Variants combined with text effects are almost guaranteed to produce strange, image-to-image differences that appear to come out of nowhere. Good sleuthing.

I disable variants completely in my skins. To me, they're a ten-year-old solution to a ten-year-old problem. Today, they're just an answer in search of a question.
