Hero option "Darken title background" can't be disabled?

I'm finally moving to using Tiger instead of Turtle and found that I can't seem to prevent Tiger from placing a darkened background behind the title text in the Hero banner image.

Turning off the "Darken title background" (Tiger:Site:Hero) shows the desired effect in the sample window but doesn't do anything with my album and nested folders, even when I force rebuild it.

That does appear to be a bug in the skin - the setting has no effect.

Until it's fixed, you can work around it. Under Tiger > Advanced > Custom code > CSS, enter this:
.hero header .title {background: none;}

Forcing a remake just causes jAlbum to reprocess all the images. It doesn't do anything about the page layout and CSS in the album. So, for a problem like this, it's a complete waste of processing and uploading time.

Is there anything I need to do to get this issue reported as a bug and potentially fixed?

By posting it here, you've done that. Laza has a lot on his plate at the moment. And remember, the entire jAlbum staff looks a bit like this:

This option was made to remove the darkening layer on the flat color hero, where no images were used as background.

But anyway, I have now extended the feature to image backgrounds too. Even though this can screw up the design big time (e.g. the page title and the up-one-level arrow get completely invisible) - it becomes the user's responsibility.

Thanks! Just looking to repeat the look in Turtle that I’m used to and liked, where the hero image was unobscured:

I guess I'll need to figure out how to generate that drop shadow effect on the page title and description text though....

Update: Oh, I see with the Tiger update that the text does have a drop shadow now. Yay!
