Sitemap incorrect using Tiger 5.1.3 (not tested on version 5.2)

Had a nasty gram from Google about the sitemap! (Not the first time! :) )

Looking into it, I discovered that when the sitemap is generated in jAlbum / Tiger, it adds a level using the project name. (jAlbum version 34.2.1). Found the same issue on my other PhotoBlogger driven sites)

Upload setting is correct (https://gallery.soft-focus-imagining.com). See attachment.

The 2nd level /Gallery" should not be in URL. Example:

<url>
<loc>https://gallery.soft-focus-imagining.com/Gallery/index.html</loc>

</url>
<url>
<loc>https://gallery.soft-focus-imagining.com/Gallery/More%20Information/index.html</loc>
<lastmod>2024-01-16T17:18:18.712Z</lastmod>
</url>

<lastmod>2024-01-16T17:18:18.712Z</lastmod>
</url>

I've attached the sitemap created by jAlbum. Shows every URL on my test site.

Over and Out - Nigel.

What have you entered under Tiger > Advanced > Site admin > Upload path? It takes whatever you've put in there, and appends everything else (index.html, slides, thumbs, etc.) to that.

ETA: In your case, it should be https://test-site.soft-focus-imagining.com/

It looks like you've got a subdomain set up, but jAlbum has no way of knowing about that.

Jeff, long time no chat. Hope I'm finding you well.

Anyways, the first post was WRONG, I screwed up by using the wrong test site. I've re-run the test using a real live web site and the original issue is there.

I've re-written the issue using the correct site, checked my upload path (it is just the URL - see image).

I've plowed through all the other settings and can not see where it's grabbing the "added" level in sitemap.

Correct
Now you've changed everything. Just what we enjoy most - a moving target!

Nonetheless, just add the trailing slash on the upload path, and I think that will straighten everything out. Like this:

Moving targets are fun, providing you're Clay Pidgeon shooting!

The " / " did the trick.

It's a shame the code doesn't add it if it's missing.

Thanks for your help ....

The code does not add the trailing slash because it automatically adds the album name at the end if the slash is missing. I must admit this is not evident, but I'm afraid to remove this because that would break the album for other users.

Laza,

Understood. I think my confusion was that the site uploaded and worked correctly without the trailing " / ". So I thought I'd done the right thing!

It's always confusing when some software needs the " / " and some does not, with the same question!

Ghost text in the box, " https://example.com/ " as a clue? :)

Anyways, your work on the themes is exemplary. I really like the "Tiger" theme. In the past I've used Gallery, Gallery2, (looked at Zenfolio), Coppermine, and finally PIWIGO. (But I got tired of fighting PHP, Opcache, fpm, etc, hence the switch)

And I have to say that jAlbum may have a steepish learning curve, but once learned, it just plain works perfectly, very fast and clean results.

Nigel.
