Tiger "Fit To Window" does not scale down small enough anymore

In previous Tiger releases, the "Fit Image to Window" option correctly scaled down the image being viewed so it did not overlay on top the navigation panel. Recently, the top navigation panel is now displayed under a portion of the image and the page footer is aligned directly underneath the image without padding (for large images, small ones align ok)

I've struggled to find out why the navigation panel does not include padding above the image and there is no padding above the footer.

The main image is too big.

Tiger -> Lightbox -> Control Bar -> Fit images by default checked
Tiger -> Lightbox -> Control Bar -> Don't allow panels to cover images in Fit mode checked

Is there a way to have both the top navigation bar and footer displayed with the image scaled smaller so it displays better?

Thanks,

As far as I remember the control bar has never pushed down the image. Did it? Perhaps before the "Auto-hiding" control bar was introduced? It would look odd when the controls disappear after 3 secs. of inactivity and its space remains.

I began to notice this behavior a while ago so it's not a recent change, it's just i had time to finally attempt to figure out why....

In my case there was a time a year or more ago when there was a clean static navigation bar and there was padding between the image. I have since added the footer with image name, count, etc.

If this is normal behavior today I'll live with it, but would much prefer to see padding between the sections. If the top navigation is static, the div could include a small amount of bottom padding and the footer could include a small top padding.

Now that I write this and think about how I used jAlbum years ago when it was working, I switch from using Turtle to Tiger... Wonder if that is the issue? I'll experiment with Turtle to see if that is the difference...

No, Turtle also allowed the navigation bar to overlay the slide image, depending upon the image size. Turtle, however, defaulted to much smaller image bounds, so on a typical 1920x1080 monitor, there was always room for the nav bar, the image, and the caption, without having them ever interfere with each other. That's probably what you're remembering.

But Tiger isn't the only skin, you know. :)
