Strange behavior of thumbnails

jAlbum 34.2-1 - Java 19, 64 bit, Tiger skin 5.2.0, Xubuntu Linux
Sorry to bother you, but I have a strange phenomenon and would like to find out what's causing it.
I created four images in WebP format and added them to a folder for one of several galleries, but when I started jAlbum I saw that two thumbnails are green. Two others are normal. When making an album, these two thumbnails are also visible in green, the original images are visible as they should be. I deleted the green ones and recreated them, but with the same result. What could this be?

Moved to general discussion as it is not skin specific.
It could be the images themselves. How did you ‘make’ the webp version, did you convert from jpeg? Do the green ones look ok in your OS? Can you attach one of the images, and if converted an original?

The images were all done the same way, created with GIMP, then cropped and sharpened with XnView. The results are all the same, when I use XnView or any other image viewer, no problems are visible, all thumbnails look normal.
In addition, some other thumbnails seem to partially dissolve, see video. These were taken two days ago and didn't cause any problems until now.
A look into the folder with all these images doesn't show anything unusual.
Attached:
Image 14_2k (created by GIMP, not used for jAlbum)
Image 14 (created by XnView with green thumbnail only in jAlbum)
Image 15 (created by XnView but is okay)
video with dissolving thumbnails after refresh
P.S. Please remove the attachment, or tell me when you've got it, thank you.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe someone can dig into the image internals and figure it out. But there are two simple solutions.
First, I opened the "14" image in IrfanView, and simply re-saved it, still as a WEBP image. All the problems vanished. And the file size ended up being half the size of the one you provided.
Second solution: stop messing with WEBP, and just save the images as JPG's.
ETA: Screenshot.

I've removed your attachment.
Anyone who wants to dig into this further, contact me for a link - I stashed the zip file elsewhere.
