Slider Size and Caption

Hi,
Is there a parameter to set the size of the slider display area? In some cases I'd like to reduce the size by about 30%.
I noticed, with the option USE ONLY FOR SLIDER selected, the captions do no longer display on the slider images.
Thanks, Wolfgang

No, it's either full-width or 4/12 wide, depending on the Slider type.
I will check why the captions won't show when the images are excluded.

Laza,
thanks.
I was asking about the size because in full width album designs with 4/12 slider and wide screens, the slider images get very high. Maybe you could add an option to size by number of pixels width/height or a height limit?

The slider uses a fixed 4:3 aspect ratio, that's why it's so high with the "full-width" setting. I must admit, that this slider design is not the best possible. In my other skins (Tiger, Story), the hero has a background slider, that adapts to the hero's height. I like this newer design better.

Hi Laza,
did you verify the behavior? Is there an easy fix?
Thanks - Wolfgang

I don't know what you mean by "verify", but as I wrote this skin is using a fixed aspect ratio, that's why the slider can be so high, especially when the page width is set wide, and the full-width slider is used. I don't know if it would be useful to offer a full-width slider with a limited height - e.g. 200px. That would result in a stripe, taken from the middle of the pictures, with all the heads cut off.

Hi,
sorry I should have added a quote, as I was referring to your earlier response on the slider captions not the height:
I noticed, with the option USE ONLY FOR SLIDER selected, the captions do no longer display on the slider images.

Sorry, I see now.
Yes, the caption was missing (not generated) on the skipped images.
I have fixed it now, and it will come with the next version. If you'd like to use it immediately, here's the changed file, attached. Save it to the skin directory (Ctrl-Shift-S).

Great - works perfectly.
I really like this option to guide the viewer while they are staring at the folders
Many thanks!
