Tiger folders and comments

1. I'm using Tiger and I've turned on Comments in the Widgets tab under Advanced.
But, there's no comment box or link on the Preview site or the actual site.
I do see "Write Feedback" links and checkboxes on all the images.
Are the Write Feedback links the comments feature?

2. When I first created this album I created folders for images and the folders appeared
in the album. But, after editing some settings, ALL the image are now in one large "slides"
folder. Even though in the app there are separate folders with images.
But, the app isn't creating the separate folders any longer - Grrrrr.

I've gone through all the settings and can't find what could be the problem.

This is the site with folders https://jay.jaylevan.com/Phodoz/album/
I have not uploaded the problem files yet. If it's helpful I can create a new site with the
issue.

Widgets are not part of the skin. They're an addon that the jAlbum core makes available. I strongly advise against using them, since they're just screen clutter. The skin doesn't know they're there, and they interfere with clean viewport responsiveness.

But if you insist upon using them, you need to get all your ducks in a row:

Here's an example of an album with widgets - I've just grabbed a recently-posted album. The widgets are that black bar at the bottom:

Without having a "bad" album to check, I can take a guess. Go to Settings > Advanced > Structure, and make sure you choose Mirrored. The Flat setting, on the other hand, will do what I think you're seeing - it takes all of the images in the project and puts them all into one folder, regardless of where they really are.

Thanks for that reply. Do some skins actually have a via for commenting that does not use a widget? I searched "comments" in the skins and I don't see anything. And, I don't see commenting in the "Browse all skins" checkboxes.

No, and for a fairly simple reason. Accepting comments on an album would require server-side processing - the visitor has to be able to "write" his comment to somewhere so that it's saved.

But all jAlbum skins are purely client-side. One of the main reasons for that is that jalbum.net hosting does not support any server-side processing, for security reasons. The only exception is the widget processing, which is tightly controlled.
