Plain: Photo data inclusions

I'm not sure I would include Artist/Iptc.By-line in the "standard" photo data. The camera isn't putting that information there, and other software has a nasty habit of populating those fields with its own branding. A bunch of my older images show Picasa in that field. They all need a trip through something like EXIF Pilot to get rid of it.
And Format isn't providing much useful info - it pretty much always says Image/jpeg. What else could it be?

I also removed these metadata from the template. Do they pop up?

I fed this image into Plain 2.0.1 with jAlbum 33.0.10, and told it to show photo data. See result.

The redundant Format is gone, but the "Picasa" entry still shows. Picasa "helpfully" planted this in both the EXIF Artist field and in the Iptc.By-Line field.

Yes, I found out why this happened. Now the skin has the metadata template included through the init.js, so it will not save the wrong template along with the project settings.

This wasn't created with a saved project. This was done with a brand-new, empty project, and a freshly-installed copy of the skin. Just for good measure, I had even deleted the bundled and previously-downloaded versions of the skin, so that only Plain 2.0.1 was present anywhere on the PC.

I think I've found a good little freebies app that will batch process images, and can clobber these unwanted entries. Some rainy morning, I should identify the oldest and newest images in my collection of saved stuff that contain these entries, and clean up all of them.
It's almost as bad as that OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA that shows up in the Image Description metadata of countless images. At least the jAlbum core is filtering out those. It was that widespread!

Damn, what is the List metadata value for these fields?
My FilterJunk function filters these values:
ACD Systems Digital Imaging
LEAD Technologies
AppleMark
Intel(R) JPEG Library
Created with The GIMP
ASCII
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
SONY DSC
Picasa
File written by Adobe Photoshop

Oh, it's filtering out the content of the field, but it's still cranking out a line in the display with a Creator label.
If you want to experiment, just download the image - link above!

Same problem in Plain 2.1.1. Empty Creator line in the metadata display.

This last piece of the puzzle has been fixed.
