I broke a setting on the hero. I'm sorry to bother you with such a trivial question. But now the labeling on the Hero looks terrible and I just can't find where I broke something. The attached JPG's show the good condition (good.jpg) and the undesirable condition (bad.jpg). Could someone please help me find this setting again? Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers,
Reto

Did you install the latest release of Story? I see on your existing site that you were using version 2.12, but the latest version is 4.2.1. And in the new version, I don't believe that option is still there (at least I can't find it).

You can achieve the same thing by going to Story > Advanced > Custom code > CSS and entering:
.hero > .cont .title {background-color: rgb(40 40 40 / 0.8)}
I also notice that the fonts have changed. That's more mysterious, because the defaults haven't changed in the new version. But you can go to Story > Design > Typography, and choose Roboto for the font family, and Fjalla One for the headline font.

Thanks so much again, Jeff! In the meantime I have managed to deal with it. Yes, I have the latest version installed. If this option is no longer there, it's no wonder that I didn't find it anymore and I could have searched for ever and ever ...

But I took your advice and put the code in. Thanks to you, I can now stay on the latest version because everything looks the way I want it to. You helped me a lot and I really appreciate it!

Perhaps Laza should reinstate this function in the next version so that all the options are available again.

I already uploaded the newest version :-)

Best wishes,
Reto

We’re both blind. I was looking for something like “background color.”

Thank you, Laza! I saw that, but I didn't associate it with the function I was looking for. It seemed illogical to me.

What I like even more is the option to use "Panel colours" instead of "Darken" because it gives me control over the degree of transparency. In fact, "Panel colours" is exactly what I hoped to find!

So thanks again for your help, Laza!

Cheers,
Reto

I’m not sure what I would call it. I’ve had the same problem in my skins - “I know what this does, but what label do I put on it?”

Your excellent photos remind me that I haven't been to Sils-Maria and Pontresina since 2017, and I haven't done the lovely Lavin / Guarda / Bos-Cha / Ardez walk since 2013! A return visit is long overdue. :(

Ah, I see familiar windows :-) And I see that you are very familiar with the Engadin. By the way, I haven't been to Pontresina since 2010, although I have been living very close for seven years ;-)

And many thanks for your kind words about my photos!

Cheers,
Reto
