Extra input field for an Audio clip

Via the Audio clip menu you can create an audio control in a slide page.

However a viewer cannot see which number is played and who is the artist. If you use Royalty Free music you are sometimes obliged to show a copyright statement.

So my request is, add in the Audio clip menu an extra field where the user can enter that kind of information.

To see how this can be used, open this album.

I'll consider it. For now, just use a user variable to enter this data.

If you implement a "more info" field, in addition to title and comment, that would be a good place to enter that kind of information.

We've had a couple of email exchanges about it, but here's the thread that triggered the discussion:

I don’t see the relation of this with my request, my extra field should be created in the Audioclip menu.

The "more info" field could be made available during the "add an audio clip" process.

Yes, but in that case you can’t use tat field for the More info data.

BTW there is no need for a More Info field: You can add the More info text just as a hidden class to the Comment field as I do in my skins.

Ninety-nine percent of users have no idea what a "hidden class" is, or how to enter it. They're not programmers.

And aren't you the person who always says that solutions should be provided by the core, instead of making each skin do it by itself? You should be consistent.

They should not know that, the skin should offer a user friendly wat to enter the More Info text.
In my skin is all text behind the sequence of 3 dots (…) the More Info text.

Well I don’t mind if David likes to spent his time to this, but there are more important items to implement or change.

The jAlbum core should offer a user-friendly way to do that. That's why the request was made, and why it's being considered.

Well, nice, I look forward to the implementation.
