WebP Conversion during Make Album?

I can't find reference to this, but I thought this could be a helpful addition.
A client loads a (JPG) project, and the Make Album has an option to Make As WebP.
This would result in longer Make Album times, but shorter Uploading, less Storage and of course faster Browser response.

That option is already present in jAlbum. See Settings > Images > Advanced > Output format.

However, there is currently an unsolved problem with the WebP conversion of the image processing routine, one that results in very poor quality. Until that problem is solved, this option shouldn't be used.

True, we've however seen very promising work-in-progress from the makers of the WebP encoder. Their encoder is now compressing much better and with significantly less blockiness, but the same code has new issues with HEIC that we need to get resolved, so we're waiting for a fix to that now.
