GROOVY shows the wrong line numbers.

In this thread Jeff's PC shows different line numbers as my PC, see enclosed screenshot.

Why are the line numbers on my Windows 10 system differently?

Are you asking to be given a week off? When I lock a thread, it stays locked. You do not start another thread to continue arguing.

Final warning.

Nonsense, this is another problem, why are your line numbers different from my line numbers?

I did some tests by inserting an '(' character at various places:

If I use on line 20 the code (path= ""; Groovy reports:

Unexpected input: '(path= "";' in index.htt at line number 1 at column number 10

If I use on line 5 the code (folderImgWidthCorrection = Groovy reports:

Unexpected input: '(folderImgWidthCorrection =' in index.htt at line number 1 at column number 64

If I next remove 2 comment lines, so that the error comes on line 3, Groovy reports the same error:

Unexpected input: '(folderImgWidthCorrection =' in index.htt at line number 1 at column number 64

So what do you expect to happen now? jAlbum can't fix Groovy, and BeanShell is virtually abandonware.

If this is such a huge problem for you, I think you should immediately uninstall jAlbum, and go do something else.

Ignore the line numbers, they are not needed. Copy the error code in the quotes, go to the specified file (index.htt) and invoke the ‘Find’ command. Paste the code, press find and you will be at the location of the error.

This complaint has been brought up repeatedly, both about Groovy's error reporting, and that of BeanShell, which isn't much better. Continuing to post about it over and over and over and over and over again is not going to change the answers.

If anyone doesn't like the answers, that's just too bad. They're still the same answers. Get over it.
