album.rss files are also crawled by Google
Posted: 2 Apr 23, 20:14

In my Google Search Console I have often received the message that when my website was crawled, also the URLs with .../album.rss are also crawled and lead to an error log.
Is it possible to exclude these RSS files for Google and Co. that these URLs ..." path / album.rss" are no longer crawled?
Thanks.

See Settings > Advanced > Metadata > Generate Media RSS feed. Turn it off, make the album again, and upload it again (it will remove the existing RSS files).

Photoblogger doesn't need them. The jAlbum "mobile viewer" uses them, but since you're using a skin that's fully responsive, you don't need the mobile viewer. From your profile page, go to Settings > Album Behavior and de-select Mobile viewer.

(Do you want to prevent all Google indexing of your site? That requires a few more steps.)
