I am redesigning my website and have been renaming folders and files.
To rename the folder, I just double click it in jAlbum and replace space with underscore.
This is tedious, but works.
Once a folder is renamed, I then rename the files. I took a look at selecting all images in a folder then using F2, but the options there aren't clear (to me) and I saw no easy way to use the folder name as the new file name with incrementing number.
I have been using Tools->Batch rename files.
Once opened, $folderName-%03d is the pattern I use, deselect Links only.
My issue is that jAlbum will freeze on this or that folder. There is no response to any mouse action anywhere in the jAlbum window.
I've tried having the system console open to see if when this happens I can catch something useful. Nothing appears when the freeze happens.
I have to use task manager to end the process.
I look in the folder I was operating on and see that some files have been renamed. I have tried removing the next file (old sequence #) closing jAlbum then restarting it and trying again.
This has worked once or twice but normally it freezes again.
My question, using the F2 rename function, how would I rename files with the folder name and a 3 digit sequence number?
Failing that, how can I get any debug info on what is freezing jAlbum for some Batch rename file operations and not for others?
The folders have jpg heic and some mp4 files. There is no pattern to the freeze. Sometimes it fails on folders that have only jpg. The files themselves don't appear corrupt, they are displayed and albums are created. Plus, a rename shouldn't be opening the files.
