(I solved this issue by adding a code to "make album" that checks whether the currently focused UI component is a text component. If so, I force the focus to travel forward, then I reset the focus to that component. Finally I reschedule a "make album" operation. The focus traversal triggers the currently edited value to be persisted to the underlying model.)
