Some settings not saved (Story skin)

I just started using the Story skin and I love it. Adding text is simple and makes my photo stories better.

However, there are at least two settings that do not get saved.

I set them, make the album and click on "Save Project settings" (or close and say Yes to save).

The three settings I have to change each time are:
1 Story - Design - Colors - Hero overlay color
2. Story - Design - Layout - Max. page width
3. Story - Design - Layout - Max. hero height

I set:
1. color to light blue and transparency of 80%
2. page width to 920
3. hero height to 50%

Make the album - everything is fine.

Then I save the project with File - Save Project Settings and exit saying Yes to save on the way out.

When I reopen the project, color is back to red, width is No limit and hero height is 80%.

Maybe its me, but it seems to happen every time the project is closed and reopened.

p.s. - I know "Heros" are big thngs, but I would really like to be able to set it to 25%.

Other than that, and my poor CSS skills, I think the Story skin is great.

Short answer: works for me.

Then I save the project with File - Save Project Settings and exit saying Yes to save on the way out.

That's a sign of a problem, in and of itself. If you do a File > Save Project Settings, you should not then be getting another prompt to save on the way out. This tells me that your project settings are not being saved at all.

When you save the project settings, you should be seeing a status message at lower left, "Project saved to...," followed by a file location. Are you seeing that?

Hi Jeff - Thanks for the response.

I was using the latest story skin (2.24.1) with an older 28.xx jAlbum version. I upgraded jAlbum to 29.0.2 and everything seems to be OK again.

Sorry, I should have figured this out before wasting you time.

Thanks

Actually, that's sort of an interesting side effect of a version mismatch. Usually, that results in smoke and flames, in the shape of a complete crash when you try to make an album. I wouldn't have predicted a problem with saving the project settings. I'll have to mull that one over....

And Story claims to be compatible with versions back to jAlbum 24, but that's often a difficult thing for skin developers to keep track of. We're always running the latest versions, sometimes even unreleased betas.
