Hi David,

compiling one of my bigger albums I have a crash. It has to do with a tiff file which I use for more than 2 years now, with no problem at all.

Picture and error messages:
https://www.markus-drueck.de/JA/Invalid%20TIFF%20byte%20order%20mark.zip

Thanks.

Hi David,

this is how the folder entry field should look like, left oriented:

After using JA some time I saw this:

Just to let you know. I only have seen it once with the 29rc version.

The problem is that Corona.tif is actually not a TIFF file. It's a PNG file, but with the wrong file extension. Change the file extension, and I think you'll discover that it works just fine. :)

Shouldn't it be anchored to the corner of the folder you have currently selected? Your "wrong" screenshot looks like the correct layout, to me.

The text in this entry field is always at the left side when I use JA. So, my screenshots have the correct names.

I tried to rename it in the explore view, but that did not work.

Preview in the explore view by the way is OK.

If I rename that file outside of JA, then all settings with that picture are gone also. Even I have excluded it, I use it as the thumb for that folder. Don't get me wrong, no big deal at all, but ... :-)

Yes, I tried that too, but jAlbum doesn't like it.

Changes made outside of jAlbum are changes that it can't compensate for. jAlbum simply has no idea that the PNG file is the same image. You'll just have to re-enter whatever title, comment, etc., you want for it.

OK, good that you copy that. Thanks

Yes, I'm aware of that.

I managed it without re-enter the info. I changed all files involved with .tif to .png and did a search and replace with a tool to replace '.tif' with '.png'. That did the trick. :-) Now I'll see if the album will compile... :-)

Now that album compiles well again. :-)
