Twitter sharing

Hello!

I'm not sure how the Twitter sharing button is supposed to work in this skin. Currently, when I click the Twitter button at the top of my site, Twitter loads to the main screen but nothing else is done. Ok, so then I copy and paste my link into the Twitter box and I get a "preview" of the link but no image, as one might expect. Should I expect an image to be included in the link preview? Should the tweet be pre-loaded with the link when I click on my site?

The image attached is a screenshot of the tweet.

Link used in the tweet

The picture is now there. Nice. Not sure what took it so long, but at least it's there.

Next part of the question would be how the share button works with Twitter.

The social sites are reading your web page in order to save details in their database. When you share a page the first time it might take longer to do this. You can't force Twitter to preload the tweet, it's completely under their control what they are doing when you press the share button, not the skins.

Many pages will prefill the tweet to make it more shareable. For example.

AP News site Twitter sharing link

My site Twitter sharing link.

The AP site makes this link:

while my site comes up with
"https://twitter.com/home?status=Objects%20-%20Paintings%20and%20Digital%20Artwork%20of%20Jeff%20Kolker:%20https%3A%2F%2Fpaintings.jeffkolker.com%2FJeffsPaintings%2FObjects%2Findex.html"

Changing how Twitter is called would give the site a more shareable Twitter link.

Hope this makes sense... Thanks!
Jeff

Helpful
I see now. Thanks! I myself don't use Twitter, but every time I check it out they have changed something that breaks how it worked before.
