Time to show panorama during slide show

Hi,

If a panorama image is displayed during a slideshow, it is very likely that you will never see the entire pan of the image because you have long since skipped to the next image. This does not look very nice. So if the duration for which an image is shown during a slideshow is say 5 seconds, but it takes 10 seconds to pan the whole panorama, then it should not switch to the next image after 5 seconds.

In this folder I do have some panos:
https://www.markus-drueck.de/norge/2022%2003%2001%20Norge/2022%2003%2003%20Sunne%20-%20%C3%96stersund/index.html

... starting with this picture:
https://www.markus-drueck.de/norge/2022%2003%2001%20Norge/2022%2003%2003%20Sunne%20-%20%C3%96stersund/index.html#img=2022%2003%2003%20Sunne%20-%20%C3%96stersund%20-%2016%2024.webp

Is it possible to correct this? Thanks a lot in advance.

Naturally, this could be a better behavior. I just can't tell when I will have time to implement this.

The panorama starts at the center and goes right first, then left and back to right. What do you think about when the slideshow should continue?
1. After reaching the right edge
2. After reaching the left edge
3. After returning to the center after a cycle

Though start at left and move to right and then continue would be nice too.

And in the end you will end up with lots of configurable options to choose from!

Correct. I was always surprised that the pan never started from the left.

The skin is placing every image at the center first. Then the panorama player is applied to it. This is why panoramas start with the center. I believe the center is the most important part of the image, the far right and left parts are usually less interesting. So if a visitor spends just 1-2 seconds with every image, it's better to start with the center.

As stated above (strange my other post is gone), my opinion is, that the panorama should definitely start at the left. Why would I make a panorama in the first place, when the left and right part of it are of no interest? ;-)

And the next slide in the slide show should start after the right edge has reached. Option 3.

Why would you take any photograph where the most important part isn't at least somewhere near the center?

I agree, start left & scan right. We all read left to right and that is the natural way our brain wants to work.

Maybe because there is nothing special in the centre at all. :-) Like in this one.

It just shows the lake Mjøsa from a viewpoint. And it makes absolutely no sense by starting not at the left side.

If the language of the album is Hebrew or Arabic, should the panorama start on the right? ;)

And what about the user using Japanese? ;-))

Either way, starting scrolling in the middle (or near one edge) of the image is just wrong no matter if you start left, right, bottom or top. That is my opinion.
