Crop focus on folder thumbs

(This was mentioned in the beta thread - I just wanted to memorialize it on its own.)

In many skins, the folder thumbnails will be set to fixed shape, so it would be nice if the user could control the crop focus. Ideally, right-clicking on the Thumbnail box on the right in the Explore view would offer a second context menu item, Crop focus. The aspect ratio of the cropping mask should be taken from the folder thumb bounds.

Right. I'll probably add crop focus ability to the folder thumbnail selector too. Currently I've expanded the "Set crop focus" tool on the context menu to support folders as well as folder thumbnail bounds. I forgot to mention this in the release notes, but it was added to the sharp v27 release.

(It may take a "Make all" though for jAlbum to pick up such changes. I'll look into that)

You've got to stop sneaking things in on me. I'm old, and easily startled. If I fall off my desk chair, you'll be responsible for the consequences.

Just did a quick test, and that works nicely. I chose square-cropped folder and regular thumbnails, but chose one crop focus for the folder thumb, and a different focus for the same image within the folder. Looks solid.

And it looks like Make album is picking up a change to the crop focus on the folder thumbnail without any need to force the issue.

A mask in the Thumbnail box would be the icing on the cake, so I'll leave this thread open for now.

Good. Thanks for testing. It may just have been a browser cache issue that fooled me into believing I had to do a "Make All" (the last modified date of the folder itself gets updated when using this tool, which is correct)

After all these years, I still get tripped up by that at least once a day.
