Wish: 'latest photos' functionality (-> NewImages.htt not right working)

Hi Laza,
if someone come back to an album than it can be after days/weeks/months after something is added by me. So, defining a count of days for 'new photos' isn't so helpful to show the latest additions.
Could you please add a "latest image" function which shows the images in inverse order of the addition?
Finally the latest images could be shown like if a label keyword is selected.
How the function could be added? I could imagine that the user click on the image counter of a folder. Or the label bar shows an entry like "latest images". At the Tiger options the user could define a max image count which should be shown on the list.
What do you think? Would it not be a great function?

Doesn't the Newimages.htt template do exactly that?

Thank you, it looks interesting and promising.
Only a few things are not working like expected:
- I did a test for "added to the album" and the order is a little bit strange. The images from today are in the middle and not at the start or end of the list. I see no difference between order 'none and 'date'. Also 'reverse' doesn't change the date order. Looks like 'date' is broken.
- If I click on one of the images the view is short shaking and nothing happens. Should the image not be opened? It would be great if the user could open the last added images and jump forward/backward.
- The image title and comment are not shown. Could this be added please?
- I miss an option to show the specific count of last added images instead of a time frame. I afraid my user will look at my page not so often but also I don't want to set a long period and show to much images. For example if an user looks at the web page after a few months, than he should see the last 30 added images. At the moment I see 23 images of the last 20 days. If an user will come in three weeks than he will not see the last added images anymore.

I agree - that doesn't seem to be working.
* If I click on one of the images the view is short shaking and nothing happens. Should the image not be opened? It would be great if the user could open the last added images and jump forward/backward.
I get a normal slide show, with the slide image opened in the lightbox, and navigation that marches through the new images.
* The image title and comment are not shown. Could this be added please?
The display of thumbnails of the new images uses the same caption template as the display of all thumbnails.

Here a test upload where you can see the missing titles and no slide show working:
https://www.apidarium.de/test/NewImages.html
(Today I added the first three images of the second line.)
Doe's it work for you?

I'm getting an odd error in the console: jalbum-album.js Error: Timout collecting 19 items. Image set is incomplete!
Doesn't happen in my simple test project. Laza will need to investigate.

Thank you for testing it.
I tried a shorter time frame and now my images from today are shown only. But without title and comment, image view is still not working. I hope Laza will find the reason.

Hi Laza,
today I checked the functionality of the NewImages.htt again and it is still not working like needed. Is now a better moment to talk about it?
Best-
Micha
In enabled the NewImages and the missing functionality can be seen here:

This error message usually appears if the database is broken - e.g. one tries to figure out what to upload manually and doesn't upload some pieces of the database.

The problem isn't an error message, the problems are:
- If I click on one of the images the view is short shaking and nothing happens. Should the image not be opened? It would be great if the user could open the shown images.
- The image title and comment are not shown. Could this be added please? It's quite important that the the image info are shown like at the sub galleries.
An other freat feature would be if the images would be divided into ranges like 3 days, week, month and year.

The problem is the error message - you can believe me. When this happens the execution of other scripts halts too. I attach a screenshot to show what it looks like in my test album. Both the title and the comment is displayed.

Oh.
I use the jAlbum upload function, nothing manual. How can I fix the situation? Can I?
And how can the error message be seen?

And how can the error message be seen?
I can't help with the underlying issue, but to see the console error message, pull up the developer's toolbar in your browser. F12 usually does that. Then look at the Console tab. In the attached screenshot, the first error can be ignored (there's no favicon where the page is expecting to find it), as can the third (I have no idea what kind of "source mapping" the skin is trying to do). It's the second error message that matters.

A repeated upload should fix this. Sometimes the upload process gets interrupted, resulting in a broken database. You might want to check if the local preview works fine. If it does, then it's 99% that the error is caused by a broken upload.

I just tested, recreated the album and the local preview shows the same problems as before and as it did a year and a half ago. I think we can rule out a random error. It seems to be a basic error that occurs quite stably here. How can we catch them?
I checked the system console and can't see something important:
Making "Apidarium" (Changes)
Warning. New version of page Vortraege.htt exists but can't be updated (user modified). Consider removing and re-adding page
