Both Neptune and Saturn have the option of opening PDF's in a new browser tab. It does take them out of the slideshow, however - they behave more like web locations.

I've tinkered with offering the aspect ratio setting in those skins, but have yet to succeed in persuading the lightbox script to behave properly. The results aren't terrible, but they're not good enough to warrant introducing the aspect ratio setting.
