Problem with iPhone HEIC images

This test album with 2 HEIC mages made on an iPhone XR shows 6-11 times an error message in the console: Make changes

I get no console errors when using those two images, using your project settings, in v24.1 or in v25b2.

I have only seen the message @@@@@@ : error ending picture
with HEIC images. The album usually builds ok though.

It is probably related to jDeli library.

Correct, because the error is caused by HEIC images which were too large to be attached, see updated bug report. |

OK, now that we have access to the actual images....
Without the jdeli library, jAlbum can't handle HEIC images at all. With that library, it can, but does a lot of heavy breathing - painfully slow. And the console errors show up as soon as you add the images to a project - no need to make an album at all.
At this point, HEIC is clearly a vintage that isn't ready for drinking, at least not in the jAlbum Wine Bar. |

The jDeli bundled version I have is June 2021, buildNumber=2021.06.21
The current version is Version 2021.07: 21st July 2021
Maybe the library could be updated with the next release on 1st September.

I don’t agree, it slows down album making, but there are no visible faults in the final converted image. |

I'll eventually update the JDeli library, but I have to wait until those guys have made significant updates.
