The progress bar/dialog does not show text until the progress has gotten nearly finished.
See attached pic, it makes it clear.

Sorry, not clear to me. What text is missing? Are you referring to low contrast on the 6485 text?

David,
Sorry, I'll include 3 images.
Start of Make Album, note there is no 'count'
Once the blue bar has made progress, you can see each number revealed until all is shown.

I copy what GHammer is reporting, using the dark theme the text of the count is barely readable. Dark gray font color on a black background, not the best combination. ;-)

Thanks for reporting. Check out whether the other dark alternatives behave better, Darcula for instance. I don't know how easy it will be to adjust colors for this particular case without risking worse looking colors in other situations. Should you wish to play with this, then it's possible to edit the colors by editing the files under system/themes

For the progress bar text, X-Code Dark looks better.

Darkula works fine.
As does editing as RobM mentioned.

Not a huge thing, but I'm used to the level of attention to detail associated with jAlbum.

Open jAlbum's system/themes folder and then open 'jAlbum_dark.theme.json file in a text editor. Now go to line 14
      "selectionBackground": "#3c3c3c",
and change the hex value to, say, 0000FF, you will see the progress bar's text colour change to blue.

That edit also affects the highlighted background colour of contextual menus

      "selectionBackground": "#a9aCaF",
      "selectionForeground": "#1D1D1D",

Just a reminder that the Developer center has a link, currently at the bottom of the page, to a list of UIDefaults
That might help identify the code required to colour specific gui elements.
