Keywords missing sometime

Hello,
I presume this is not a skin problem (I use Photoblogger last version).
When I generate my albums, sometime the keywords are not included when the image is displayed? AT the moment I do not have published live my albums. See snapshots.
Thanks and regards
Henri

Hi,
I have seen that if I cut the keywords for an image, then save the project, then paste the keywords, this works, but sorry, I have more than 4000 images and I do not want to do that for all of them. Into the interface under "keywords", I see them and I do not understand why when displaying the image this does not works for some of them.
I copy my images from the Turtle skin to migrate them to Photoblogger skin. However I repeat, I see the keywords into the Photoblogger skin but they are not for some displayed once regenerated.
Here is the link of the published albums (this is only one example): http://www.yetanotherhomepage.com/photo/Series/Regard%20dÉVIANt/index.html
Thanks and regards
Henri

The list of keywords at the bottom of the jAlbum Explore view just shows all of the available keywords in the project. But each image may have some of those keywords applied to it, or none at all. See keywordList.png.
In the Regard dÉVIANt folder, only a few of the images have keywords. See imagesWithKeywords.png.
When you entered keywords for images in your old Turtle album, those keywords were not stored inside the image files. So, for example, if you entered keywords pet, dog for mydog.jpg, the mydog.jpg file was not changed. When you copied that image file to include it in the Photoblogger album, the keywords did not come with it. The keywords were stored in a "sidecar" file called .jalbum/mydog.jpg.info
The secret is to do the copying inside jAlbum. In jAlbum, open the old Turtle project. Go to the Regard... folder. Select all of the images - CMD-A - and copy all of them - CMD-C. Open the new Photoblogger project. Go to the Regard.... folder. Paste all of the images into it - CMD-V. That will bring the keywords along with the images.
The other option is to make a copy of the entire old Turtle album - open the project, click the little down-arrow next to the project name, choose Duplicate Project, and give it a new name. Now, open the new, duplicate project. Switch to the Photoblogger skin. Finally, copy the settings from the Photoblogger project you have been working on - File, Import, Settings from Project. But you would also need to copy things you have created in the Séries Photoblogger project, like About.htt, Contact.htt, etc.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for all the explanations. However, then, all the options are not good, this is a huge works. My new Photoblogger albums are nor the same reflect as my old Turtle albums. What I do not understand is the fact that my new Photoblogger albums into Album shows the keywords, the they are informed and I do not see wha when generating the new albums they are not taking into account.
Replacing almost 4000 keyword is a nightmare.
Thanks and regards
Henri

If you copy the images from the old Turtle album inside jAlbum, the keywords will come with them. If you copy the images outside jAlbum, the keywords will not come with them.
If keywords are shown beneath the thumbnail image in the Explore view, they will be included in the album. You may have to refresh your browser cache when viewing the album to see them. For example, see screenshot.

I would like to add, without any criticism that when into jAlbum --> Photoblogger (or any other skin) that when into the jAlbum interface if I see under the Tab "Keywords" all the keywords sets, what ever from which skin they comes, why they are not regenerated when recreating the new albums what aver the skin is used.Once into the jAlbum --> Explorer --> keywords (see snapshot) if the keywords are visible, wha did they are not generated???
From the point of view of a simple user, this is difficult to understand.
Thanks and regards
Henri

Also what is not normal is the fact that if you search the keywords into the search Keywords box, the image is found. So something not logic is happening.
For me as soon as the keywords are displayed into the jAlbum Interface (what ever from which they are coming), they have to be generated. Else this is difficult to understand from the user point of vue.

I will move this to the Photoblogger forum section. Perhaps Laza can examine the JSON files.
When I use your project settings, it always works - if keywords are displayed in jAlbum, they are also displayed in the album.
One quick question - does the album display the keywords when you preview the album, before uploading? If it does, but then does not display the keywords when viewed from the server, that means that you are not uploading all of the files the album needs.

This is really odd. I see the keywords are present in the JSON file, still not processed when the skin creates the caption templates. The skin is using jAlbum's engine.processSection() function to build the caption. I guess this must be some kind of multi-thread or concurrency error. Can you please try with Tools / Preferences / Number of thread = 1? (Another thing worth trying if adding ${keywords} to the thumb caption template changes anything.)

Hi Laza,
Thanks for your reply. I do not see Under "Tool" a "Preferences" menu???
For the $(keywords) see snapshot, this was already the case

Does this is what you mean for the thread (see snapshot). If yes, I try with 1 but the result is the same.

Yes, that's it. If this didn't help I have no idea. Perhaps David can see what's going on.
