First impression of animatics

Hi Lazarus,
animatics is a very nice, clear player and an alternative to projector. However, I ask myself: what has the full screen mode on the front page lost? Can the player also be scaled to the format of the projector? Sometimes the section of my pictures is too big for me!
With best regards
Klaus Schader
P.S:I have attached a revised German text file.

Thanks for the translation!

I did not understand neither of your questions.

"scaled to the format of the projector" - what format you mean?

"section of my pictures is too big" - what section you refer to?

I see, the full screen button doesn't work on a folders-only page. Thanks, I will fix this.

I think this is the setting in Projector that I miss in Animatics. Scaling "Fit both dimension"! (See image)

The scaling of images is different with the different transition types. The default - Ken Burns - for example uses images scaled to fill the whole screen. If you switch to "Cross fade" for example your images will fit the screen but not larger.

That is only true to a limited extent. I looked at both settings of the projector and the animatics several times. Both are preset with transitions in KenBurn mode. My impression is that projectors (see last illustration) show more of the overall picture in both the vertical and horizontal orientation. https://www.schader-handmade.de/Bildbetrachter/
This is important for my special type of digitally processed work.

I see, I made a compromise in Projector. The original Ken Burns (or Animatics) effect - like in Animatics skin - is using images (videos) that fill the entire viewport, with no black bars around. I can add an option for choosing between the two approach.

I see we understand each other. That would be great if there were both options for the KenBurn effect in Animatics. Thank you in advance for your effort.

Today I tried the 2.0 version. Unfortunately my German translation has not been adopted. The full screen display does not work either on the title page or in the folders. I then didn't try the new scaling functions.

Sorry, I probably saved the file on my other PC (in the other flat), which I had to leave due to the quarantine. I'll fix this soon. The full screen button works for me in Firefox and Chrome, but I admit I forgot to test it in IE, and I see now it doesn't work. Did you see it malfunction in other browsers?

This is really odd. After the first failed try on IE I could never reproduce the problem. Can you please give me a link where this bug is visible?

Here is the link: https://www.schader-handmade.de/animation/. Unfortunately, my translation has not been incorporated either! On Wednesday I will export the old version again!

Fullscreen works for me, in all browsers. When you switch from the title page to a folder, of course, it goes back to non-fullscreen. It has to, because it's a new page, and browser security does not allow a page to open in fullscreen mode.

I have improved the full screen behavior, and disabled the button on iPhones with 2.0.1.

Perhaps I don't have your latest translation but there was only 6 new keys, and 70 keys are still missing.

Version 2.0.1 is optimal. I have successfully discontinued the fit function for my purposes. I have adapted the German translation for the new version. Thank you for the effort. The process is now complete for me.
