First of all I would like to say that the text editor is a brilliant idea and works well when just typing into the comment box. However, I copied and pasted some text from an email (text attached) and took out the line spaces that I didn't want in jAlbum comments box, but when I make the Album the line spaces are still there! It is like I cannot get rid of them.

Furthermore, when I tried the text editor it came op with an error report. (attached)

I'm using Gromit Shin on Windows 10

Stay out of the new HTML editor. It puts paragraph markers around each line of your text, which results in double-spacing in a browser. Just stick to the regular, un-fancy comment entering routine - double-click the thumbnail in the Explore view to open the image for editing, and enter the text under the image.

If you need more space, remember that you can drag the separator between the image and the text box to make the text box bigger - see screenshot.

ETA: BTW, copying and pasting directly from an email message often brings in a huge number of unwanted HTML style tags. They may not be immediately visible, but they'll often make a hash of the comment as displayed in an album. Copy and paste from the email message into a plain text editor and clean out all the detritus before bringing it into jAlbum.

Thank you. I can see that it easy to get in a right Royal mess using the editor! Does it need to put in the new paragraph hypertext markers?

I'm not sure whether my problem with that bit of text was related to the new Text Editor or the new Update to jAlbum? It could have been coincidence that it occurred shortly after the most recent update. All I can say is that, I've tested pasting the same text into a blank comment on another photo without touching the new editor and he error still occurs. I have copy and pasted stuff in hundreds of photos in the past and this hasn't happened before!

Anyway, I have got over the problem on this particular photo by opening a blank email and pasting the text into it using special paste - text only. I've copied that and pasted back into jAlbum Comments and removed the line breaks by pressing delete. (I didn't want it to appear as a list but just as a list separated by commas)

I shall keep an eye out if it happens again.

I think the text must have had some weird formatting that I couldn't see!!!

That gets my vote. I've seen very bizarre stuff coming out of emails - it's heavily dependent upon the sender's email app.

The regular "enter your comment" box in jAlbum hasn't been changed, AFAIK. The troublesome creature is the newly introduced HTML editor, accessed by right-clicking in the comment box.
