User Defined Metadata Fields?

Looking for a skin that will allow my non-developer user to populate user defined metadata fields such as description, base, unit, location, active dates, contributed by, etc.
This is for a gallery of images of military patches.
We want viewers to be able to search on this metadata across albums on our site. Need a skin with a UI that will let our gallery curators upload images and then fill in the predefined metadata.
New user. Evaluating it for our use right now. Thanks for your help.

jAlbum will read metadata, but it's not designed to write metadata. It will take some things, like comments you have entered, and write them to xmp fields in the image files, but that's the extent of it.

The other thing to point out is that jAlbum is purely client-side. There is no "database of images" sitting on the server. You run the application on your PC, add your images, make an album with them, then upload the finished album. There is no server-side processing involved. jAlbum is not "running" on the server. What's on the server is just the completed album, with image files, HTML pages, CSS, and some Javascript routines.

The album on the server can't be directly modified by anyone. If you want to change something about it, you have to make the changes on your PC, make the album again, and upload the changes.
